
Definition of osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a joint disorder noninflammatory degenerative cartilage level. The cartilage is damaged and thus causes pain.
In general osteoarthritis is the knee (known as knee osteoarthritis) of lahanche (osteoarthritis) or fingers (finger osteoarthritis) but may also occur in all joints including spinal (spondyloarthosis).
It is a disease that can not be cured, but with certain treatments can significantly slow the disease and ease symptoms.
Osteoarthritis has a mechanical origin whose pain is increased by the activity, considering that rest pain is soothed instead.
Causes of osteoarthritis
Although osteoarthritis has no single cause, here are the causes or risk factors favoring artrhose:
- Age, this factor seems to play an important role in the development of osteoarthritis. After age 55, many people begin to have problems with osteoarthritis.
- One problem inherited (genetic cause).
- An updated excessive contribution of joints, particularly in competitive sport, with intensive training (soccer, tennis, skiing ,…) or work physically binding. (more…)
